Step 1
Before starting the project on the computers, do the following first in the classroom:

1. Divide the students into groups of three
2. Let students choose  a codex image – 1 per group (preprint out in color and laminate)
3. Have students analyze the image in the clue column of the codex retrieval chart
4. Have students present their image and conclusions to the class

Step 2
Computer Work

1. Take students to the computers to find out the facts about their image. Have students complete the conclusions column of their chart.
2. Students complete research, story, and power point codex.

Step 3
Presentation

1. Students present their original codex image and findings to the class.
2. Students present their story and codex to the class.
