1. WHERE IT LIVES |
 |
Seagulls live along the coast and along rivers.
They also live on beaches, in harbors, and in dumps. |

2. APPEARANCE |
Seagulls are snowy white, with dark on their back and wings.
They have yellow eyes and a yellow bill. |

3. FOOD |
|
Seagulls love to eat and they will eat almost anything (even French fries)! They really like crabs, small fish, shellfish and small rodents like mice. They drink both fresh and salt water. |

4.PREDATORS |
| Seagulls have many predators, like coyotes, foxes, raccoons, dogs, rats, owls, cats and even humans! |

5. THE YOUNG |
 |
Female seagulls will lay two or three eggs at a time.
It takes about twenty-six days for the eggs to hatch.
Seagulls protect their young until six months after the young have hatched.
Then the parents teach their young to fly. |

6. INTERESTING FACTS |
A seagull’s heart can beat up to 400 times in a minute while resting, and 1000 times per minute while flying.
Seagulls in zoos can live to be 40 years old. Seagulls can live to be 36 years old in the wild.
