 |
Appearance (What they look like)
King Cobras are the largest of venomous snakes.
T
they are 5.7 meters long and weigh around 44 pounds.
They are usually thin.
The venom in a King Cobra can kill a human.
A King Cobra can live for about 20 years. |
|
|
Habitat (Where they live)
King Cobras live in South East Asia in thick forests.
The Cobra population has dropped because the forests are dying where they live. |
|
|
Diet (What they eat)
King Cobras mainly eat other snakes, such as Kraits and Indian Cobras.
They do not like other venomous snakes, but if they have to they will eat them if there is not enough food. |

Babies
The King Cobra is the only snake that makes nests for its eggs.
Newly hatched Cobras are white with yellow stripes, and are about 50 cm long.
They can hunt right after hatching. |
|
| |
Enemies
The King Cobra has almost no natural enemies as an adult, but their babies do.
They are eaten by Mongooses, Civets, Army Ants, and Giant Centipedes.
The eggs may be eaten or broken by Wild Boar and Mongooses.
