2007-2008 Parliamentary Issue |
| Turkey is petitioning to join the European Union. After having researched the above points, you must consider the following: |
- What do you (as your country) expect of Turkey if they are granted membership to the European
- State your criteria and concerns based on your social/cultural perspective
|
As an elected member of the European Union's Parliament, you will be asked, in a parliamentary session to verbally present your case for or against Turkey's petition. You will use your knowledge of the E. U. and your country's history, culture and world view to argue your points.
While researching, you will use the Consequences for Stakeholder Chart to ensure that you cover the necessary points for your parliamentary session.
During the parliamentary session, you will use the Discussion Chart to make notes of the points brought up by each country of the E.U. |
