Where are the fossil fuels found in Alberta?

• Create a wall-sized map of the fossil fuels found in Alberta. Using the overhead, project the outline of Alberta onto the paper that you have taped to the wall. Trace the image onto the paper.

• Draw lines to show the 6 regions of Alberta adn the location of the oilsands

• Paint each region a different color and paint the oilsands black.

• Design a symbol for fossil fuels, size your symbol so that it works with your map

• Photocopy the appropriate number of symbols for your map. Cut out and then glue the symbols onto the appropriate locations on the map.

• Create a clear title and legend for your map.
