Introduction

You have been hired by the director of the Calgary Greek Festival, to create a special presentation on ancient Greek life and culture, based on the Festival of Athena.  It will be included as part of a virtual display for their three day family festival this June.

The purpose of this celebration is to highlight Greek life and culture through a celebration of its history, culture and people. Your role is to research the identity and lifestyle of an Athenian citizen who would have participated in this festival in ancient Greece. You will tell their story to bring this festival to life.

As a class, we will then prepare a movie maker production telling the individual stories of your chosen citizens from their personal perspective, revealing their role as a citizen in ancient Athens.
