You have been assigned to the much respected warrior class of the samurai in Edo Japan. As a samurai, you live strictly by a code of honor. You are considered to hold the most prestigious position in society next to the shogun. Your code of behavior is called bushido or the “way of the warrior”.
Your task is to create a power point presentation that clearly demonstrates the role of the samurai in Japanese society during the Edo period. To complement your information, include images representing the samurai and their worldview at the time. Your presentation should consist of 8 - 10 slides that include the answers to the following questions:
1. What was the original role of the samurai within society? What was expected of them? What did the samurai stand for?

3. How did the samurai’s role change during isolation?
4. Were the samurai given any special privileges?
