Read your diary entry to your group. Listen closely to the diary entries of the rest of your group. Discuss and share your ideas and opinions on “isolation or abandonment of isolation policies” with your group.
Through consensus, choose the diary entry that your group determines is most effective to express your group’s final conclusions about the isolation policies.
Step 4
Read your group’s chosen diary entry to the daimyo. Listen carefully as students are presenting to understand the various perspectives of each group. Consider the positive and negative aspects of either remaining isolated or opening your borders to the Western World. |
