Edo Japan was an isolated, protected world.
Meiji Japan was open to the influence of the world.

Prairie Virtual Museum is looking for a collection of art and artifacts that support or challenge these statements and help identify changes in the Japanese worldview.

As members of the PVM team, your group will be asked to survey a number of Japanese artifacts, analyze them and then explain how they demonstrate the Edo or Meiji worldview. Your group will create a PVM power point of a selection of six artifacts with a brief description and explanation of each for the benefit of our visitors.
