Step 1

Print off a copy of your finished, edited ballad.  Use this copy as a reference for collecting images to illustrate your ballad.  Each line or grouping of two rhyming lines must be illustrated with an appropriate image.  You will need anywhere from 12 – 24 images to illustrate the lines of your ballad.  Search for effective images that clearly represent the story in your ballad and tie directly to the content in your stanzas and lines.  (See the student exemplar if you are confused.)  Save to a file in your home drive.

Step 2

Open movie maker.  Drop images into appropriate locations for your ballad.  Drop in music and print ballad lyrics that correspond to your image across the bottom of your page.  Using your headphones, test out your movie maker production and make any necessary corrections to images, sound and text. (For your reference: A standard television screen measures 720 X 480 pixels)

Step 3

Presentation of Your Project
After presenting your movie maker project, be prepared to answer any questions from the class about the individual you have researched.  Have point form information on hand or a copy of your retrieval chart to use as a reference.
