Dialogue: When a character talks in a story, poem or play.

Editor: A person that helps a writer fix their mistakes.

Foley artist: A live sound effects expert. They make background sounds during a live play or radio show.

Identity: The traditions and activities that make a family or person unique.

Inspiration: Something that helps you to be creative.

Kovbasa: Pronounced (koo-ba-sa’) A garlic Ukrainian sausage.

Produce: The creation of an ad or program. Adding sound effects, making it sound clear and professional.

PSA: Public service announcement. Free ads that are played on the radio to help the community or teach the audience about something. An announcement on television or radio given as a service to the public. (Dictionary.com.)

Research: Finding information from books, the internet and people.

Revise: The point where you change the words in your work to make them more interesting. Take out or add words to make it make sense. Make the action words interesting and add describing words.

Roots: Where a person’s ancestors came from. The old country. A country’s culture that influences your family’s traditions.

Segment: A section of a radio program. A story, interview or introduction.
