Using the information you have collected in your retrieval chart, write a report on the Renaissance individual that you have chosen.  Include information on how their accomplishment affected the Renaissance worldview, as well as how their accomplishment affects or relates to our worldview today. (200 words)

Print off a copy of your report to hand in.  Include the following:

  • The title of your report should be the individual’s name.
  • Center the title and place an image of this individual directly underneath the title.
  • Adjust your font size (no larger than font size 14) to ensure your entire report fits on a single page.  Reports will be posted in the classroom for viewing
  • Include your name at the bottom of the page.

Collect images to accompany your worldview information. Do a google  image search to find your illustrations. Collect these images to a file in your home drive titled “Step Back in Time” These images should include the following:

  • image(s) of the individual
  • image(s) related to their discovery, painting, ideas, etc.
  • map of the area where they worked or lived
  • any images that reflect their influence on the worldview of Europe   at the time.
  • any images that reflect your individual’s influence on our worldview today.

  • Create a 7–10 slide power point presentation.  Be certain to include information from your retrieval chart in your presentation.  Include at least one image slide and text for each section in the retrieval chart.
  • Carefully consider the choice and placement of your images, wallpaper, accessory details and text, to create visually appealing scrapbook pages.
  • Remember that your power point is a visual aid to what you are saying.  It is not the “meat” of your presentation.  The most important part of your presentation is what you say.
  • As a presenter, you will use points on the screen to trigger thoughts in the viewer’s brain.  It should not be a series of paragraphs, displayed and then read aloud to the audience
  • Do not use automatic timing when presenting your project.  You need time to say what you need to say
  • You will lose marks if you have too much writing on your slides.
Presentation of Your Project
  1. Ensure that your report is handed in previous to your presentation date.
  2. Show your power point, using file cards with written information to explain each slide.  Try to memorize some or all information if you can
